Hello Everyone, I mentioned in our last meeting that seven of the eight open ballots were going to fail due to lack of member voting. Unfortunately, seven of those ballots closed last week and only one had enough votes to pass. Five of the six failing ballots only had 3 votes and one had 4 votes. While those votes were all affirmative they fail because you need greater than 50% of the members to vote affirmative. Each ballot sends the opening email as well as 3 reminder emails while the ballot is open. I also mentioned the lack of votes in the last JC meeting. I am open to ideas on how to increase the voter participation as this seems to continually happen with this and the other 455 JCs. These ballots will be re-opened for an additional 2 weeks but if we do not receive enough votes again the issue will be considered failed and will be closed without being added to the ARG. If you voted on the previous ballots and do not vote on the re-opened version your previous vote will still count. You have spent many hours working on these issue papers and I would hate to see them closed due to lack of voting.
