Jason Snider has updated the comment Conformity Assessment does not add anything to the document 505i2r1 - JC Memo & Ballot.pdf in the Joint Committee on Recreational Water Facilities group. Subject : Conformity Assessment does not add anything Category : Substantive Comment In reading thru the ballot, I do not see how you can evaluate any chemical after you have introduced it into the pool water. There are so many variables to pool or spa water such as volume, chemistry and temperature there is no way you can evaluate any chemical after when adding it to the pool. My main concern is, I know this additional testing requirement is going to increase the cost of pool chemicals. However, how will this make our chemicals safer? Does this solve an existing problem or is this a solution in search of a problem? I do not see how this is going to improve our pool chemicals. It seems that we are creating a need to perform testing without a real need to do so. I would urge this sent back to the Task Group so that industry stakeholders can comment and improve this language. Proposal Send this back to the Task Group for more consideration and input from the industry. Changes response added Response Hello, The response letter to your comment has been uploaded.
