Many of you may have already heard, but I wanted to officially share that after 40 years in Corporate America (14 total at NSF, the last 5 in Standards), I'm retiring. My last day is April 17.
- Please submit issue papers for discussion at the JC meeting by April 15 (this deadline is firm).
- Monica Leslie has graciously stepped up to facilitate the May 13 Joint Committee meeting, which I'm laying the groundwork for.
- Interviews for the role are taking place and a new secretariat should be on board soon.
- Starting April 20, please direct any interim questions to Monica Leslie.
I really enjoyed working with you and appreciate everyone's expertise, engagement, and deep experience in volunteering to continually improve drinking water standards.
Task groups have been working diligently, and JC and PHC members have had a lot of ballots to vote on over the last year. Many groups are conducting ongoing lab validation testing, which requires setting aside income-generating testing to validate new protocols. I'm especially grateful for these efforts and want to send a special shout-out to our lab volunteers.
Without everyone's commitment, Standards work would not be possible. I truly appreciate you!
