Good morning Food Equipment Joint Committee Members.

A message from my NSF colleague Larry Levine.

    -       Al Rose

Dear NSF Food Equipment Joint Committee Members,

NSF routinely participates in volunteer activities with a local charity organization for fighting hunger (Food Gatherers).  If interested, we would be excited if you could join us at a volunteer event following the NSF Food Equipment Joint Committee Meeting October 17.

This initiative is a collaborative effort between Feeding America, Food Gatherers, NSF, and NAFEM, and we need your help to pack food and fight hunger.

    Event Details:

    • What: Volunteer at Food Gatherers (Feeding America) to pack food
    • When: October 17, 2-4pm

    ·       Where: Food Gatherers Warehouse, 1 Carrot Way, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, Phone: 734-761-2796

    ·       What to Wear: Please wear closed-toe shoes for safety. It's advisable to bring a light jacket, as you may be working in a cold room. While some jackets will be provided, having your own can ensure you stay comfortable.

Following the NSF Food Equipment Joint Committee Meeting we hope you will join us and dedicate two hours to this vital cause. Your efforts will directly support those in need and help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

For members of NAFEM, there's an added incentive! NAFEM will match your volunteer hours at a rate of $25 per hour, with donations going to both Feeding America and Food Gatherers. Your time can double the impact!

How to Participate: Please contact us to put your name forward as a volunteer and we will provide you with all the necessary details.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to give back and support the fight against hunger. We look forward to working alongside you to make a difference.

    Warm regards,

    Larry Levine

    Good morning everyone

Just a few short weeks out for our annual in person meeting.

While working to finalize the meeting packet materials, thought it would be good to also remind everyone about the volunteer event immediately following the JC meeting.

We've received a number of interested members already, but there's room for more!

If you're interested please contact Larry directly and he'll set everything up.

    Best
