Marc, As both an observer and presently a member of the NSF/ANSI 50 Technical Committee, as well as, involvement on several task groups for NSF50, 61 & 419 for the last 15 years, being a voting member does not mean that you cannot share your expertise in the industry. The technical committee is always looking for industry people that can share their knowledge thru task groups that meet all year on various issues to improve our NSF standards and the safety of our recreational water industry. It is not a waste of time participating as a non-voting observer on these task groups and at the joint committee meeting. The committee has a challenge to stay balanced with voting members from manufacturing, health departments, academia and industry users.
