Marc,   As both an observer and presently a member of the NSF/ANSI 50 Technical Committee, as well as, involvement on several task groups for NSF50, 61 & 419 for the last 15 years, being a voting member does not mean that you cannot share your expertise in the industry. The technical committee is always looking for industry people that can share their knowledge thru task groups that meet all year on various issues to improve our NSF standards and the safety of our recreational water industry.   It is not a waste of time participating as a non-voting observer on these task groups and at the joint committee meeting.   The committee has a challenge to stay balanced with voting members from manufacturing, health departments, academia and industry users.   Regards,   Ron   Ron George Water Quality LLC Mobile:  +1 (920) 318-1828 email address: ronald.george.ext@xxxxxxxxxx   From: jc_rwf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jc_rwf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Marc-Andre Laurin Sent: Wednesday, April 10, 2019 12:47 PM To: jc_rwf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jc_rwf] FW: Request to join RWF Task Group on Safety Surfacing Approved Importance: High   [This message came from an external mail server outside of the company.] Hi Mr. Snider,   We have some questions about the NSF 50 membership selection process. I have been through the membership process last year and have been awarded a membership status as an Observer with Non-voting rights.   As an important manufacturer in the aquatic play industry in North America, we would like to understand why we are not a participating member with voting rights inside the NSF Recreational Water Facilities group?   As an established manufacturer we can bring a lot of insights to this group regarding products and applications.   Can you provide more details please?   Best Regards,     On Behalf of Vortex Aquatic Structures Intl     MARC-ANDRE LAURIN DESIGNER INDUSTRIEL-CHARGÉ DE PROJET, SECTEUR COMMERCIAL INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER – PROJECT LEAD, COMMERCIAL SEGMENT VORTEX AQUATIC STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL INC. 328 AVRO, POINTE-CLAIRE, QUEBEC, CANADA H9R 5W5 +1.514.694.3868 Ext. 306   malaurin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx   FOLLOW US:               From: workgroup_mailer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [ mailto:workgroup_mailer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ] Sent: 15 January 2018 10:51 AM To: Marc-Andre Laurin < MALaurin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Request to join RWF Task Group on Safety Surfacing Approved   Group : RWF Task Group on Safety Surfacing Membership Status : approved Group Link You have been added to the email distribution list for this group.
