I would like to learn more about the activities of the group and the qualifications that you are looking for. My interest in experience is a combination of dietary supplements and integrative medicine (licensed Naturopathic Doctor). My training included the basics of TCM and I am by no means an expert, however I have close contacts who run accredited TCM schools, have many colleagues in practice, and work with companies manufacturing TCM products. We are very interested in this activity primarily for its relation to our work in the dietary supplements area. The established scope of this ISO activity is as follows: "Standardization in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in terms of basis, application, administration and the related technical fields, such as terminology, diagnosis and treatment methods, manipulation standards, training standards, quality standards of appliance and equipment, and production and usage standards of Chinese herbal medicines and their test methods, etc." In applying to be the TAG Administrator, NSF International will be submitting a list of potential TAG members. If you would like to be included on the list, please notify me by Friday January 29th. Inclusion of your name on the list will not obligate you to participate should you later decide not to pursue formal TAG membership. Assuming NSF International receives accreditation of the TAG, we will organize a meeting of interested TAG members shortly thereafter.
