Dr. Bob Rubin, Task Group chair has recommended the ballot for NSF 350-1 issue 1, revision 1, Onsite residential and commercial graywater treatment systems for subsurface discharge be sent to the Joint Committee for consideration.  Please review the proposal and return your ballot by the ballot due date of October 12, 2010 via the online workspace (http://standards.nsf.org).

When adding comments, please identify the section number/name for your comment and add all comments under one comment number where possible. Please note that this standard is identical in many ways to the open ballot of NSF 350 Onsite residential and commercial water reuse treatment systems.  Comments you make in your ballot to NSF 350 related to graywater reuse treatment systems may well be applicable to those you make to 350-1.  If so, please feel free to simply comment “see comment on ballot for NSF 350.”

Purpose:
The overall purpose of this Standard is to establish minimum materials, design and construction, and performance requirements for onsite residential and commercial graywater treatment systems.  It includes graywater only as the influent source, and treated effluent criteria suitable for outdoor restricted urban water use, such as subsurface irrigation.
