The purpose of this ballot is to relocate various sections to be consistent with boilerplate. This ballot also addresses 1.4 measurement clarification for rounding; normative reference updates; a correction in 4.6.1 to stainless steel series reference; reference to refrigerators was updated to also include freezers throughout the standard; updates to covers and handles/knobs in section 5.12; louver language added per task group discussion in section 5.16; in 6.3.2 the term “or” was replaced with “and” to ensure proper cleaning; and language for display refrigerators in 9.14 was added.
In addition, language for Sections 8.1.1.2 and 8.4 have been proposed by the Food Equipment Task Group on Walk-in/Roll-ins to permit PVC laminated metal flooring materials for flooring inside walk-in refrigerators and freezers. NSF performed physical testing of the material and the description of the required testing is described in the proposed Section 8.4 and test results are provided in the Excel files in the supporting documentation. |
