The proposed draft revises the usage pattern specified for nonplumbed pour-through-type batch treatment systems when no manufacturer’s recommended use pattern is given. This revision will be reflected in all applicable elective performance claims in NSF/ANSI 42 and 53.
REVISION 5 addresses comments received during the initial submittal of the revision 4 draft. It adds a maximum rest period to address the concern raised by a Technical Review Panel member to ensure that the manufacturer’s use pattern not be permitted to be less demanding than for the case when no recommended use pattern is given, and reflects reasonable user behavior.
