Dear NSF 426 Joint Committee,
In preparation for moving forward with the joint server standard process, we are requesting that the Joint Committee consider 4 “friendly fixes” to the latest draft of NSF 426 Environmental Leadership Standard for Servers. These small changes are intended to tie up loose ends, and address a few clarifications requested by the 1680.4 Working Group. The changes do not appear to alter the intent of the criteria, hence “friendly fix”.
A supporting document titled “Friendly Fixes Ballot Document November 2015” can be found at the end of this ballot. This document provides a brief rationale for each of the changes being made. These are the only changes subject to ballot. All changes previously approved by the JC are in gray shade and strikeout in the attached document and are not subject to the current ballot.
The 4 “friendly fixes” are noted below. Please be sure to vote on all 4. For each “friendly fix”, select either affirmative, negative, or abstention. See the attached document titled “Friendly Fixes Ballot Document November 2015” at the very bottom of this ballot for the brief rationale and the suggested revisions.
