Title Straw Ballot #4 Scoring and Supply Chain
Description
Please vote on all three (3) ballots below, as discussed by the JC during the June 13th teleconference meeting. All documents can be found in the referenced documents below. Please be sure to vote on all ballots.

BALLOT #1: Scoring System:

1.Do you approve of the use of a raw scoring system?
Use of a raw scoring system where applicants must obtain a certain number or percentage of the total available points within and across the three sustainability categories in order to reach the aggregate score need to earn a base-level or leadership-level certification.

BALLOT #2: Scoring System:

2.Do you approve of the use of a proportional scoring system?
The Raw score is based on achieving a minimum level of performance based on available KPIs, recognizing that some will be more viable than others. The Proportional Scoring Method allows companies seeking certification to identify - where appropriate - KPIs that are "Not Applicable**" and be scored only based on the total percentage of Applicable KPIs. Examples include KPIs that assume a company owns vs. leases a building, and/or KPIs addressing specific use of materials such as flooring or other specific materials.
**This Method assumes auditors responsible for verification of N/A claims as a part of the NSF391.1 application and review process.

BALLOT #3: Supply Chain:

1.Do you approve of a Stand-Alone Section for Supply Chain KPIs
Do you support pulling supply chain KPIs out of the three formal sustainability categories and including them in a separate free-standing section. This free-standing section would provide KPIs addressing supplier diversity, social responsibility, and the supply chain, and sustainable purchasing including environmentally preferred purchasing of products, social responsibility in the supply chain such as human rights, child labor, etc, and supplier diversity applicable to any one or more of the three sustainability categories.
