The proposed standard will provide a procedure for testing drinking water treatment devices and the requirements for manufacturers for making microbial reduction claims on microbiologically safe water. This standard provides testing and labeling requirements specifically for filtration technologies.
Revision 15 addresses those comments requesting re-validation testing and two comments submitted by France Lemieux and William Anderson. The draft has also been updated to reflect the most recent changes to the other DWTU standards (e.g., language addressing treatment train, harmonization of evaluation criteria harmonization under section 4, etc.). Only the specific updates made between r14.1 and r15, and the results of the final re-validation testing are open for comment. Any comment received outside of this scope will be treated as a new issue for the JC to consider separately.
This two-week adjudication ballot also addresses any unresolved negative comments that were received. |
