The original ballot for publication of this standard closed on June 11, 2018. It passed the Joint Committee on GMP for cosmetics and the Joint Committee on GMP for over-the-counter (OTC) drugs but it failed the Joint Committee (JC) on GMP for dietary supplements. Since this standard covers the terminology for all of the standards for these JCs the ballot must pass all three JCs. A tri-JC meeting was held on June 18, 2018 to discuss the collected comments. All three JCs were invited and while not all members attended there was representation from all three JCs on the call. The group on the call went through every comment and reached consensus on the phone to either accept, accept with some edits, or decline all comments. Those responses were incorporated in to this new revision 2 document.
