Lisa Lattimore submitted a comment in the last ballot to include a new requirement as 4.2.1. This comment was discussed at both the 7/30/18 and 8/9/18 JC meetings but it was requested that I open a straw ballot to determine if the statement should be included in the standard. Please note that this will be a simple majority win. The suggested statement is:
"Senior management shall prepare and implement a policy statement that outlines at a minimum: the organization’s commitment to the methods used to comply with its customer and regulatory requirements and continually improve its food safety management system." |
