Background:
As part of publication of NSF/ANSI 50, language is reviewed to ensure consistency with NSF and ANSI guidelines on language. This ballot was drafted to clarify language in the Standard, focusing on terms that are generally avoided in NSF standards, such as “and/or”, “may”, “must”, and “should”. The proposed changes in this ballot are not intended to change any requirements of the standard, only bring consistency and clarity. |
