I am excited to say that the Safety TG is ready to present their draft to you. To remind everyone on how I like to handle developing standards, we will be doing straw ballots on each section as each TG has decided the draft is ready to be presented to the JC. This is not an official ballot but a way for the TG to get feedback as we go. I find this way to be more efficient so that we do not have any surprises when we get to the official ballot for the final draft. This way does require a bit more work prior to the final draft but in the end it actually saves us some time to find out any issues that need to be addressed at this stage. If there are any comments the TG can reconvene and discuss them. While most of our official ballots are 21 days I will be opening this straw ballot for 14 days since it is significantly smaller than the whole standard. |
