Proposed revisions to NSF/ANSI 42: Drinking Water Treatment Units – Aesthetic Effects (42i106), NSF/ANSI 53: Drinking Water Treatment Units – Health Effects (53i124), NSF/ANSI 244: Drinking Water Treatment Units – Supplemental Microbiological Water Treatment Systems – Filtration (244i10), and
NSF/ANSI 401: Drinking Water Treatment Units – Emerging Compounds / Incidental Contaminants (401i18)
The proposed revision will add an exemption for cyclic pressure testing for components downstream of the system on/off valve that are not subject to pressure under the off mode, and that either contain no media subject to plugging or are not designed to contain media.
Revision 2 clarifies that the exemption refers to complete systems designed for open discharge and harmonizes sections 5.4.2 and 5.4.4 per comments received on the previous (r1) ballot. This two-week ballot also addresses any unresolved negative comments that were received on 42i106r1 et al. |
