The following straw ballot is to vote for the pre-requisites for the Low Emissions VOC chapter. Since this chapter was ranked number two priority out of the nine chapters included in the standard, we re-wrote the chapter to be a total of 20 points, which is equal to the number of points as the Product Performance (number 1 priority) chapter. This chapter also includes 5 additional extra credits that could be awarded for going above the VOC Content and VOC Emissions requirements. It is worth noting that as written, the VOC content and VOC emissions sections are equal to what is required in LEED v4.1. Previously, the VOC content and VOC emissions were considered pre-requisites and had no points awarded at all. The change was made to make the points reflect the priority rankings that was voted on by the JC and to make the standard more achievable to small and medium sized companies.
