Proposed revision to NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 – Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals – Health Effects (60i95r1)
The proposed revision will add Informative Annex 6 to discuss best practices for oxyhalide testing and provide sampling guidance for sodium hypochlorite for producers, diluters, and repackagers.
Note that the addition of Informative Annex 6 is not part of the American National Standard (ANS) and does not contain requirements necessary for conformance to NSF/ANSI/CAN 60. Therefore, it does not need to be processed in accordance with ANSI’s requirements for an ANS, including public review and consensus requirements. However, a ballot is being submitted to provide JC members with the opportunity to review and provide any feedback prior to its publication. |
