Description

On behalf of Ata Ciechanowski, Issue proponent, the ballot for NSF/ANSI 14, issue 58, revision 1, Stress Corrosion Resistance has been recommended to be sent to the Joint Committee for consideration. Please review the proposal and return your ballot by the ballot due date of April 2 1014 via the online workspace (http://standards.nsf.org). Purpose The purpose of this ballot is to clarify the pass/fail criteria for stress corrosion resistance in section 5.8.2.3 of NSF 14 by excluding hairline surface fracture of a certain size that could occur because of machining or casting. Currently any crack when viewed through a 10X microscope constitute a failure including hairline surface cracks.
