This requirement is a step in the right direction but could be made stronger. The OTC monograph language provides an age limit. The language of the proposed change should include information on age. In addition, supplements that contain caffeine should declare the amount per serving on the label (whether added or naturally occuring). Placing upper limits on caffeine content per dose and per day on a product is a step toward protecting public health, but consumers who consume multiple supplements that contain caffeine can easily exceed these limits if they do not know how much caffeine is in each product.
