Purpose
The purpose of this ballot is to clarify the pass/fail criteria for stress corrosion resistance in section 5.8.2.3 of NSF 14 by excluding hairline surface fracture of a certain size that could occur because of machining or casting. Currently any crack when viewed through a 10X microscope constitute a failure including hairline surface cracks. |
